"Elite" Epsilon Chapter, chartered in 1920, is the 5th oldest chapter in the history of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. Epsilon was rechartered on Oct 28, 1948.

From 1920 to the 1940s, the chapter was composed of both graduate and undergraduate members. [In the ideal collegiate situation] there is a Zeta in a girl regardless of race, creed, or color, who has high standards and principles, a good scholarly average and an active interest in all things that she undertakes to accomplish." - Founder Viola Tyler
