Marge didn’t come to the shelter alone. She came with her brother, Butter. Together, they clung to each other, trying to make sense of this terrifying new world. But now, Marge is out of time.

Her delicate paws are tucked under her chin, as if trying to make herself as small as possible. A black leash hangs loosely around her neck, a reminder of her confinement. The dim lighting casts shadows around her, making the cold, impersonal surroundings feel even more suffocating. The kennel floor is dull and lifeless, mirroring the hopelessness in her expression.
