Repost from elementary school!
My first experience in elementary school I was told during a birthday celebration that I couldn’t have a piece of cake because in the word of my elementary school teacher, “Disabled people don’t get cake” that statement followed by being placed in timeout for the remaining of the class led me to believe that maybe disabled people are bad. ~CEO Amanda Clark
Placing posters and ramps in public schools are not the foundation of inclusion. It’s only part of the answer.
Without real accountability children without disabilities will continue to grow up and assume what they have unfortunately been taught. Which is there are two separate worlds out here. Those with disabilities and those without.
It begins in schools! And that’s why we’re so incredibly proud and grateful for elementary school for taking that initiative to show just how important it is to not segregate differences but to embrace their amazing Beautymarks! Because having a disability should be NOTHING TO HIDE, it is after all, apart of the human life!

Repost from and his son, our Beautymark brother.
It is not always easy for a parent either! To constantly stop yourself from trying to help all the time, knowing that they MUST try themselves so they know they are indeed CAPABLE can be hard because you never want to see your child struggle! The key is to believe in them before they believe in theirselves! 💙🥰 The look on both of their faces after he was able to feed HIMSELF, sends a positive and powerful message of independence and community. We love to see it!

Answer: An act of kindness! Usually in a crowd I was often asked what happened to my arm. I remember standing afar from a group of teens when I hear what type of disability is that? I hesitated to turn around and answer this question. Before I could open up my mouth to speak a friend of mine spoke up and answered it’s not a disability it’s a BeautyMark! That word gave me my dignity back! I was 20 years old then. I am in my 30’s now and all I want to do is give that same respect to all those who have a BeautyMark whether seen or unseen we all are designed for a purpose and the way that we were created should not define us as human beings!
What made you start the Business?
Answer: A broken heart that led to a push!
Of course being a parent with a Physical Beautymark the thought of my children one day being embarrassed of me crossed my mind a couple of times. So I made sure to educate “my children” of limb differences. Well in 2014 that was the day I realized I had to do more than just educate “my children” I had to educate all children. As my daughter and I walked to her bus stop as usual she proceeds to tell me that she didn’t want me to walk with her anymore. Me being the parent that I am I joked around and asked her was she too cool to walk with her mommy to the bus? And shockingly her response had been, “No Mom it’s not that!” Looking down to the ground she looks at me and says I'm sorry mom but I'm tired of them asking me. I was stuck but I had to think quickly. I surely can’t blame her for anything. She’s just a child trying to “survive” in this public system. So I said it’s alright baby I understand. I gave her a hug and kiss as she apologized and I told her there was nothing to be sorry about. But as I turned around to walk back home my heart sank! How could this have happened? And that pain quickly turned into DRIVE! I knew that what I had been doing was not good enough. I had to get the word out somehow someway so that children are not oblivious to what and who is surrounding them. And so by Faith I jumped! Funny how pain can be turned into passion. I do not regret anything that has happened in my life! Because there is a way to help so many others with what I've been through. Now I am proud to announce that we have reached over 130 children in public schools and counting! An act of kindness can set up a life for a whole community so please be Kind to one another!
