We’re grateful for an incredible summer of serving together!

At our recent summer Volunteer Social, we celebrated the dedicated volunteers who give their time, energy, and heart to The Bowery Mission. It was an evening filled with good conversation, shared stories, and gratitude for our volunteers and their impact.

We’re looking forward to continuing to serve alongside this incredible community this fall.

“You would never think that it can happen to you.”

After years of military service and career success, Sidequa never imagined she would experience homelessness. But an unexpected illness and rental scam changed everything.

When Sidequa came through the Red Doors of The Bowery Mission, she found safe shelter, a caring community and space to begin rebuilding.

Today, Sidequa is moving forward with renewed hope and returning to the career she loves, thanks to friends like you! ❤️🙏

Another incredible summer at Mont Lawn Camp in the Poconos has come to a close 🏕️⛰️🏊🛶. Over six weeks, 394 kids left the city and experienced the joy of Mont Lawn Camp, where every adventure, new friendship and shared meal became an opportunity to celebrate this year's theme, Gratitude.

From swimming and hiking to singing songs and laughter that echoed across camp, countless moments reminded children to appreciate the gifts around them, the people beside them and the love of God that surrounds them.

To every camper, family, volunteer and staff member, thank you for making this summer so special. These memories will last a lifetime.

A heartfelt thank you to our Associate Board for planning and hosting a record-breaking Summer Social!

Together with more than 390 supporters, we raised over $205,000 for The Bowery Mission's Compassionate Care programs.

We're grateful to every sponsor, volunteer and guest who helped make the evening such a success. We were honored to hear Denise share her story and the lasting change she first experienced at The Bowery Mission.

Thank you to everyone who came together in support of our New York neighbors. Your generosity helps keep our Red Doors open to people seeking safety, dignity and hope.

An unforgettable week for children and youth at our Mont Lawn Camp in the Poconos starts with a warm welcome. 🏕️

When temperatures rise, so does the need.🌡️

With this week's heatwave in NYC, our team is welcoming our neighbors with fresh water, ice pops and compassionate care to help them stay cool. Several of our guests told us the ice pops reminded them of being kids again.🍧

Extreme heat can be dangerous, especially for people without homes. That's why our Red Doors remain open every day, providing fresh meals, safe shelter, clean clothing and other essential support when it's needed most.

It's graduation season in NYC! We’re reflecting on the amazing men and women who've graduated from our Residential Programs. They received the support they needed to:

🎓 Grow spiritually
🎓 Achieve wellness and recovery
🎓 Succeed in the workplace
🎓 Develop practical life skills
🎓 Obtain housing

We celebrate lives changed and praise God for the ways He is working. And because of friends like you, we can provide a transformative community for neighbors overcoming homelessness and other crises.

Thank you for helping make graduation possible. It's the culmination of a long-term, holistic investment that helps people build a foundation for lasting change.
