Today marks nine years since the Rohingya refugee crisis escalated in 2017, when an influx of nearly 750,000 refugees fleeing Myanmar arrived in Cox's Bazar, Bangladesh.
Since then, BRAC has reached hundreds of thousands of refugee students with early childhood, primary, and secondary level education in the Rohingya refugee camps. However, access to higher education remains limited.
