Overdose Aid Kit - OAK

Overdose Aid Kit - OAK The OAK is a metal box that contains harm reduction supplies to be used in the event of an overdose

The OAK Program is a collaboration between
Serve You Rx and Start Healing Now to combat
the opioid epidemic and provide support to
those impacted by substance use disorder,
including individuals, communities, and
workplaces. The three branches of the OAK
Program include making Narcan accessible
through our Overdose Aid Kits, providing
education on the epidemic and training on
how to use N

arcan, and promoting the
Recovery-Friendly Workplace Credo. Serve You Rx is a national pharmacy benefit solutions provider based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Given the company’s role in the pharmaceutical supply chain, the Serve You Rx team decided it was their responsibility to take action against the opioid epidemic and do their part to reduce the risk of substance misuse, addiction, and overdose.
• Serve You Rx President and CEO Sharon Murillo met Jessica Geschke, President of Start Healing Now, while lobbying for change in Washington, D.C. The duo joined forces to make their vision a reality by spearheading the OAK Program.
• For several years, the company has focused its
charitable efforts towards providing resources to
those impacted by addiction, including sponsoring Mobilize Recovery, an annual event that aims to expand policy to support recovery, create connections to vital supportive services, and to engage affected individuals in meaningful civic action.
• Additionally, Serve You Rx created the Opioid Risk Management Program for their own clients to reduce the likelihood of opioid misuse by members of their prescription benefit services. Start Healing Now, founded in 2013, supports
individuals and their families on the path to long-term recovery from substance use disorder. This nonprofit organization provides a solid base of continuous care, including resources and financial assistance for safe and structured sober living homes, education, transitional aftercare programs, and free access to the
lifesaving drug Narcan. Your donations fuel the OAK Program, the road to recovery, and a new life for those who struggle with the disease of addiction. Without your help, Start Healing Now could not provide a single person with the services they desperately need.

Thank you to NJ Department of Human Services for partnering with us to provide the lifesaving naloxone inside each O.A.K.!

Congratulations to First Presbyterian Church of Berkeley on the recent installation of an Overdose Aid Kit. Like all churches we partner with for our Empowering Faith Leaders Programming, this church is committed to supporting its community, which is truly heartwarming.

In addition to providing naloxone in a public and accessible space, the church also successfully hosted a Day of Service event in March, which brought together East Bay faith-based groups and community members with schools and non-profits.

Their Day of Service initiative connects volunteers with organizations that address education, homelessness, youth development, and other pressing issues. Registration is now open for California residents; please visit their website to sign up and participate in their upcoming community service events.

Congratulations again and thank you all for being !

Thank you Wisconsin Library Association for allowing our team member, Jessica Geschke, and Sauk County Health Department, Health Educator, Hannah Erdman, to present a breakout session at the 2026 WAPL Conference today! They had a blast speaking with your library staff from across the state!

Public libraries are trusted, free, welcoming community spaces where individuals of all ages and
backgrounds seek safety, information, and support — including people at risk of overdose.

As substance use continues to impact communities across Wisconsin, libraries are increasingly encountering overdose emergencies on-site.

Equipping every public library with Overdose Aid Kits that contain naloxone ensures staff and community members can respond quickly to save lives while reinforcing libraries’ role as hubs of public health and community care.

This session explored why naloxone access in libraries is a practical, compassionate, and life-saving strategy that strengthens community safety and response readiness statewide.

If you’d like more information on how to get an O.A.K. for your community organization or if you are in need of naloxone training, please connect with us today!
