Seafarers International House Seafarers International House is the Lutheran response to the urgent needs of vulnerable seafarers and immigrants.

We offer affordable accommodation to seafarers with a valid MMC at a different location. Seafarers International House is a Lutheran mission to seafarers and sojourners - including refugees and asylum seekers - people who travel under duress or difficult circumstances.

This week, our port chaplain, Pastor Tammy (left) encountered the rare female dockworker near the date of May 18 which was International Day of Women in Maritime. She told Pastor Tammy that she is proud and thankful for the work and likes to meet other women on the docks. They prayed together and Pastor Tammy gave her a little Jesus ornament.
