The Naumburg Foundation invites you to a free concert at the San Francisco Conservatory of music, featuring the Terra String Quartet, winners of the 2025 Chamber Music Competition.

This event, underwritten by Sin-Tung Chiu in honor of his parents Bella and P.P. Chiu, celebrates Naumburg’s 100th year as the world’s oldest music competition, and its long-standing relationshipwith the San Francisco Conservatory of Music.

This performance is part of the Naumburg at MSM recital series. This series, in its third year, showcases Naumburg winners who are graduates of MSM.

Program includes works by Wolf, Mettens, Poulenc and Barber.

Winner of the 2021 Naumburg Vocal Award, Erin Wagner has also appeared with the Metropolitan Opera, Houston Grand Opera, and Wolf Trap Opera, where she sang Dorabella in Così fan tutte and later Blanche de la Force in Dialogues des Carmélites.

Joined by Maureen Zoltek, pianist and Music Director of the Houston Grand Opera Studio.

We are pleased to announce that has won the 2025 Naumburg Chamber Music Competition.

Their award includes $15,000, a Carnegie Hall recital, a San Francisco Conservatory recital, a commissioned work and a recording of that commissioned work.

All three ensembles will give an hour long performance tomorrow, December 9th at the Morgan Library & Museum.

Winners will be announced after a brief deliberation period that begins at 4:30 PM.
