Say their names, see their Faces, and say it with us - JUSTICE FOR THE NEGROS 19! 🕯️ This last Sunday, there was a vigil that gathered in Eagle Rock to mourn the victims of this terrible massacre , share personal stories of the victims and educate the public about the systemic injustices that led to this violence. These victims that also included Filipino Americans like us were just there to fight for improved living conditions for the impoverished community of that region. They shouldn’t have been painted as combatants by state fascists and most of all, shouldn’t have lost their lives. The cost for peace should never be violence! Ironically yesterday 4/27 marked the annual observance of Lapu-Lapu day, and we commemorate these lives lost that have now also been added to a long history of resistance in the face of oppression!

The 41st annual Balikatan exercises begin April 20th and includes the militaries of Australia and Japan as well as U.S.

How many innocent people need to die in the name of US domination? Filipinos in the US stand in solidarity with those throughout the Middle East, which is also home to 2.4 million OFWs-Filipinos forced to leave their homeland for work due to the corrupt bureaucrat capitalists running the government.
In the midst of the war on Iran, the Balikatan Exercises in the Philippines, joint military exercises involving the U.S., Australia, and Japan, begin on April 20. In our homeland, the U.S. military practices the violence they inflict on the rest of the world, and stages weaponry and personnel for their cold war with China.
Since the US led attacks against Iran, the Philippines is experiencing an “energy crisis” as the reliance on foreign oil is heavy; the price per liter of diesel is as high as PHP140, and with jeepney drivers earning as little as PHP500 per day, their income is obliterated, and the effects of inflation steepened.

How many innocent people need to die in the name of US domination? On April 7th, Trump threatened the people of Iran with the statement, “A whole civilization will die tonight...I don’t want it to happen, but it probably will.”
Yesterday, concerned community members along with Malaya, GABRIELA, Bayan SoCal, FFPS, Centro CSO, and ILPS, joined FRSO in Boyle Heights to demand that Trump and the U.S. stop the war on Iran IMMEDIATELY.
