A massive thank you to everyone who joined our Know It All: Civil Rights and Music virtual discussion last night. We are still buzzing from the powerful conversation and the deep connection between melody and movements for justice.
We are beyond grateful to our phenomenal panel of experts who shared their time, wisdom, and stories with us:

Elizabeth (Liz) Stookey Sunde

🚀 Exciting news for the future of our community!
During the gala, we introduced “We’re Going Places” a special moment highlighting several exciting developments for our organization and the communities we serve.
The announcement included the launch of our Membership Hub, the Liam Qi Resource Center, and the soft launch of our new e-commerce platform designed to expand resources and opportunities for our members.
We also celebrated the growth of our regional chapters, led by dedicated community leaders:• Jake Mooney – New York City• Kim Johnson – Orlando• Henali Patel – Nashville
These initiatives represent the next chapter in strengthening connections and expanding our impact.
The future is bright, and we are grateful to everyone who continues to help us grow.

Are you (or someone you know) in this photo?

This is a group shot of the 1978 Summer Guides that worked at
Richmondtown Restoration.

Historic Richmond Town would like to reconnect with the many people who worked or volunteered at the restoration throughout the years. Many of us were summer guides, interpreters, craftsmen etc. and we all have very fond memories of our times there.

If you recognize yourself or anyone else in this photo please tag the photo or mention them in the comments section. We are hoping to have a reunion onsite where we can share our stories!

If possible, please message us directly with your contact information or the contact details of the person you were able to identify.

We are proud to highlight John McTiernan, a founding member of our Board and a dedicated leader who has played an important role in shaping IYC. John served as Board Chair and most recently Treasurer, stepping down from the Treasurer role this February after years of committed service.
Beyond IYC, John is deeply involved in the community as a mentor with iMentor and a volunteer supporting forest restoration with Protectors of Pine Oak Wood.
This Friday at our Gala, we are honored to recognize John with the IYC Volunteer of the Year Award in appreciation of his leadership, generosity, and dedication to strengthening our community.
Please join us in thanking John for his incredible service! 👏
