In many hospitals across New York City, patients are tragically scared and dying alone, separated from their families due to restrictions on visitors. We are doing our part to bridge this physical gap between sick or dying patients and their loved ones by organizing the donation of iPads to hospitals in need.

Visit www.ipadstohospitals.org to see how you can get involved.

Welcome to the page for iPads to Hospitals!

Our mission is to bridge a communication gap between ill coronavirus patients and their loved ones through the donation of iPads to hospitals. Due to the highly infectious nature of the COVID-19 virus, hospitals have had to restrict visitors. While a necessary step to stop spread of the virus, a tragic reality has emerged - hospitalized patients are suffering and dying alone.

We are organizing the donation of video-chat capable iPads to hospitals in the NYC area, the epicenter of disease. The hospitals we partner with primarily cater to underserved populations – a demographic that has been most affected by the virus and who also may not own smartphones with video capability.

Our iPad supply is filled in large part by the generosity of everyday people, who are donating their underutilized iPads to make a life-altering difference for these patients and their families. These donated iPads are obtained through daily local pick-ups in NYC or shipped to us from across the country. We are also collecting financial donations, for those who may not have an iPad to give, but still want to contribute. These donated funds are used to purchase refurbished iPads.
