The City recognizes that supporting mothers, caregivers, and young children is essential for long-term equity and community well-being. Power of Two is already doing this work. It's Power of Two’s Birthday! 🥳

Over the last 11 years, we have seen the power of connection through more than 7,000 families served. Whether it is a caregiver and child, a coach and parent, or a family and their community, the bonds we build together create the safety and love every child needs to thrive.

Thank you to our supporters, friends, and community who have been on this journey with us. Our work continues because every family and child deserves unwavering support and love.

Thank you for standing with Power of Two and championing the power of prevention.

Whether you signed our petition, shared our posts, contacted elected officials, attended a rally, or simply cheered us on, your support meant more than you know.

While the New York City FY27 budget did not include a Power of Two contract with a NYC agency, our advocacy is far from over. Budget amendments remain possible through October, and we will continue fighting to ensure all families can access our evidence-based prevention services.

Together, we'll keep showing up for children, caregivers, and the future of New York City's families.

Thank you to the many elected leaders, partners, families, friends, and supporters who have stood beside us, including Speaker Julie Menin, Council member Althea Stevens, Council Member Chris Banks, Councilmember Nantasha Williams, Council Member Virginia Maloney, and Assembly Member Latrice Monique Walker.

Yesterday, one of our incredible program graduates shared her beautiful story. Three years ago, she and her husband became foster parents to a baby girl. Wanting to break old cycles and raise her with deep connection and respect, they leaned on a Power of Two.

Today? They are officially in the process of adopting their daughter! 🎉

But stories like this don't happen by accident. They require community, mentorship, and resources. That’s why we’re calling on the Mayor to continue funding Power of Two. Every family deserves the support they need to stay strong and stay together. Watch her beautiful speech!
