Thank you for standing with Power of Two and championing the power of prevention.

Whether you signed our petition, shared our posts, contacted elected officials, attended a rally, or simply cheered us on, your support meant more than you know.

While the New York City FY27 budget did not include a Power of Two contract with a NYC agency, our advocacy is far from over. Budget amendments remain possible through October, and we will continue fighting to ensure all families can access our evidence-based prevention services.

Together, we'll keep showing up for children, caregivers, and the future of New York City's families.

Thank you to the many elected leaders, partners, families, friends, and supporters who have stood beside us, including Speaker Julie Menin, Council member Althea Stevens, Council Member Chris Banks, Councilmember Nantasha Williams, Council Member Virginia Maloney, and Assembly Member Latrice Monique Walker.

This is what fearless leadership and unwavering commitment to children looks like!

Swipe to see our Executive Director, Coleen Stevens Porcher, as well as members of our board, speak at Wednesday's press conference to demand that the City reverse its devastating cuts to prevention services across NYC. Together with our board, staff, and city leaders, we will keep fighting for the budget that children and families deserve!

"We just wanted to give her the best possible childhood."💛

Yesterday, one of our incredible program graduates shared her beautiful story. Three years ago, she and her husband became foster parents to a baby girl. Wanting to break old cycles and raise her with deep connection and respect, they leaned on a Power of Two.

Today? They are officially in the process of adopting their daughter! 🎉

But stories like this don't happen by accident. They require community, mentorship, and resources. That’s why we’re calling on the Mayor to continue funding Power of Two. Every family deserves the support they need to stay strong and stay together. Watch her beautiful speech!

Today, we stood alongside community leaders and advocates to protect the services that keep NYC families thriving. A massive thank you to Council Members Rita Joseph and Tiffany Cabán for speaking out so powerfully in support of Power of Two and the broader prevention services coalition.

Prevention services aren't a luxury—they are the foundation of a safe, healthy city.

At Power of Two, we see every day how early childhood support and strengthens caregiver-child relationships, promotes healthy development, and helps children thrive. Right now, prevention services that thousands of NYC families rely on are at risk because of proposed funding cuts.
