From Long Beach, NY to Ground Zero turning "Miles into Memories"

06/26/2026

Last year, 600 people refused to let the rain stop them. This year, we’re running again for the 343 and for FF Joe Herman.

➡️ Register today. Every step remembers. Every registration makes a difference.

One year ago, our community showed what it means to never forget.

In the pouring rain, more than 600 runners crossed the finish line at the inaugural 3.43 For The 343 Community Run. Together, through registrations and donations, we were humbled to present $50,000 to Lacy Herman’s trust fund, honoring the legacy of her father, FDNY Firefighter Joe Herman.

Now we’re coming together again.

Join the 2nd Annual 3.43 For The 343 Community Run on Sunday, September 13, 2026, in Long Beach, NY.

Whether you run, walk, or simply stand with us, every step honors the 343 FDNY firefighters who made the ultimate sacrifice on September 11th while continuing our mission of supporting FDNY members and their families through the 34.3 Foundation’s Active Duty Member Crisis Fund.

Last year proved what this community is capable of.

Let’s make an even greater impact together.

Some moments you can plan for… and some find you when you least expect it 🏁

Just three weeks before race day, an opportunity came across our path that we never could have imagined. The Jesse Gerhard Memorial Foundation, alongside Sam Hunt Racing and Bullova’s Restorations, had Jesse’s name and logo placed front and center on the hood of the #24 car at Talladega Cup Series—surrounded by the 1,591 names of FDNY firefighters who made the ultimate sacrifice.

Driven by Harrison Burton, that car carried more than just a sponsor… it carried legacy, brotherhood, and remembrance at 200+ mph.

For us at the 34.3 Foundation, this one hits deeper. Jesse’s story is part of our foundation’s story. His passing was a driving force behind why this mission began in the first place. To stand alongside his foundation on a stage like this… is something we’ll never take for granted.

The ending? Not what we hoped for.

Last lap… the #24 goes down.

And just like that—the screen cuts to black.

To be continued.

Because this isn’t the end. We just got word… more races are coming.

Stay tuned. 🏁

Boston 🤝 New York

Our members Kelly Coyle and 34.3 Foundation founder Etan Blatt took on the 2026 Boston Marathon alongside the brothers of the Boston Fire Department and the Boston Fire Cancer Foundation.

With almost no winter training, the boys gutted out a 3:44 marathon…proof of grit, heart, and the fire service mentality to show up and get it done.

A huge thank you to the Boston Fire Cancer Foundation and the Ranahan brothers for the incredible hospitality and for handling every detail behind the scenes. And to all the members of Boston FD who stepped up and handled the rides to the start, gear back to the hotel, showers ready, and an after party to finish it off right. Thank you for taking care of our own.

The bond between the and is something special.

Inspired by sacrifice. Driven to remember.

🌧️ It poured. You all showed up anyway.
🚨 SAVE THE DATE, Sunday Sept 13th 2026📆

Last year, in absolute downpour, 500 of 650 registered runners stood on that start line and crossed the finish. Rain couldn’t wash away purpose. It only proved it.

On Sunday, September 13th, we run it back.

Two days after our core members complete the 6th Annual 34.3 For The 343 Memorial Run honoring the 343 FDNY heroes we gather as a community for the 3.43 for The 343 Community Run. United in remembrance, resilience, and brotherhood.

This year, we also run in honor of our brother, Firefighter Joe Herman. We lost Joe just one week before last year’s race and this community responded the only way it knows how…together. Because of you, we raised over $40,000 for his daughter Lacy, who you’ll see in this video and who carries her dad’s strength forward every day.

Rain or shine.
For the 343.
For Joe.
For family.

Save the date. 🇺🇸
