Some moments you can plan for… and some find you when you least expect it 🏁
Just three weeks before race day, an opportunity came across our path that we never could have imagined. The Jesse Gerhard Memorial Foundation, alongside Sam Hunt Racing and Bullova’s Restorations, had Jesse’s name and logo placed front and center on the hood of the #24 car at Talladega Cup Series—surrounded by the 1,591 names of FDNY firefighters who made the ultimate sacrifice.
Driven by Harrison Burton, that car carried more than just a sponsor… it carried legacy, brotherhood, and remembrance at 200+ mph.
For us at the 34.3 Foundation, this one hits deeper. Jesse’s story is part of our foundation’s story. His passing was a driving force behind why this mission began in the first place. To stand alongside his foundation on a stage like this… is something we’ll never take for granted.
The ending? Not what we hoped for.
Last lap… the #24 goes down.
And just like that—the screen cuts to black.
