Meet William Rehwinkel, an organist, harpsichordist, composer, and 2025 TECA Fellow! 🎶

He completed his Bachelor of Music and Bachelor of Arts degrees at Oberlin Conservatory, majoring in Organ Performance, and is currently pursuing a degree in Historical Performance Harpsichord at The Juilliard School.

In addition to performing, William also composes music, blending modern styles with elements of Baroque music, including ensemble playing and keyboard figured bass realizations.

Meet Ian Jones, a classical and baroque violinist and 2025 TECA Fellow! 🎻

Based in New York, Ian performs a wide range of repertoire spanning medieval to contemporary works. His passion for historical performance practice has led him to collaborate with some of the world’s leading figures in early music.

Ian has performed with ensembles including Baroque Chamber Orchestra of Colorado, ARTEK - The Art of the Early Keyboard, Inc., Bach Vespers at Holy Trinity, New York Baroque Incorporated, Teatro Nuovo, Juilliard415, Les Arts Florissants - William Christie, and more.

He is currently pursuing a master’s degree in baroque violin in Historical Performance at The Juilliard School.

Meet Epongue Ekille, a historical and modern violinist and 2025 TECA Fellow! 🎻

Epongue has performed with Juilliard415, at the Carmel Bach Festival, and with Bach Vespers at Holy Trinity. She has also participated twice in the Smithsonian Haydn String Quartet Academy, focusing on Haydn’s Op. 42, 50, 51, 64, 71, and 74.

She is currently pursuing a Master’s in Historical Performance at The Juilliard School while also performing in Lincoln Center Theater's Broadway production of Ragtime.

Meet Chiara Fasani Stauffer, a 2019 TECA Fellow and gifted violinist 🎻

Chiara has performed across three continents, sharing her passion for music from the Baroque era to today. She holds degrees from The Juilliard School and the Hochschule für Musik Basel FHNW, with additional studies at the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis. A sought-after baroque violinist, she has performed with ensembles such as Apollo's Fire Baroque Orchestra, Washington Bach Consort, and the Sebastians. 🎶

Meet Madeleine Bouïssou, a talented cellist and 2019 TECA Fellow! 👏

Drawn to the expressive depth of gut strings, Madeleine performs regularly with world-renowned historical performance ensembles including Arcangelo, The English Concert, Les Arts Florissants - William Christie, and the Boston Early Music Festival. Based in the Netherlands, she is also a certified Alexander Technique teacher, inspiring freedom, confidence, and curiosity in her students and colleagues.

🎶 Whether performing, teaching, or exploring movement through music, Madeleine brings curiosity and generosity to every project. She envisions a musical world where technique serves expression, collaboration thrives, and the creative process remains joyful.

🎶 TECA Fellow Natalie Rose Kress will be performing in a free concert series through September 28th with the Smithsonian Academy Orchestra!

Founded in 2024 by conductor Kenneth Slowik, the Orchestra is a resident ensemble of the Smithsonian Chamber Music Society at the National Museum of American History.

Here is the program for the concert, all performed on period-appropriate instruments:
• Haydn: Symphony No. 95 in C Minor, Hob. I:95
• Beethoven: Romance in G Major, Op. 40 for violin and orchestra — Concertmaster Michael Gurevich, soloist
• Beethoven: Symphony No. 3 in E-flat Major, Op. 55, the Eroica
