This year’s highlights included:
▪️ Team led 17 conference sessions and one pre-conference workshop, contributing to conversations moving the field of forward.
▪️ In partnership with AIFS Foundation, we released Passport to Leadership: The Influence of Education Abroad on Career Pathways and Leadership Development Across Industries. The report highlights the different ways that education abroad shapes career paths and informs leadership development over time: https://www.iie.org/publications/passport-to-leadership/
▪️ Released the 2025 data on Intensive English Programs, which found that more than 66,000 international students studied in intensive English programs in 2025: https://opendoorsdata.org/data/intensive-english-programs/
▪️ Convened members of the Global E3 consortium to discuss partnership strategies for connecting more engineering students to education abroad opportunities.
▪️ Celebrated Fulbright’s 80th anniversary and the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence at a reception showcasing how international education strengthens U.S. prosperity and leadership worldwide.
▪️ Recognized Rita Moriconi, regional manager (REAC) for the Southern Cone, EducationUSA for receiving the 2026 NAFSA Knowledge Community Awards for her outstanding contributions to International Enrollment Management.
▪️ Celebrated the growth of the Korea-U.S. STEM Exchange Program with a reception hosted jointly with the Institute for Advancement of Technology (KIAT). Since 2023, the KORUS program has connected more than 850 Korean students with immersive STEM and cross-cultural learning experiences across the United States. https://bit.ly/4vgoaZ1
