Earlier this week, Start-Up Nation Mentorship hosted our Annual New York Cocktail Evening at Insight Partners. The evening featured a fireside chat led by SUNM Board Member Elan Arnowitz in conversation with Jeff Horing (Co-Founder & Managing Director of Insight Partners), who shared the story behind Insight’s founding, his decision to invest in Israel over a decade ago, and how to effectively take advantage of AI.

We were proud to bring together the SUNM community, including mentees, alumni, campus directors, mentors, and partners. Events like these reflect the strength of the SUNM network and our shared commitment to learning, mentorship, and building meaningful relationships across the global innovation ecosystem.

Throughout the Fall 2025 semester, our SUNM Campus Directors organized dinners across the US, UK, and Canada to bring together students participating in our mentorship program. These gatherings created space for students to reflect on insightful conversations with their Israeli mentors and explore Israel’s dynamic innovation landscape.

We’re proud of the strong bonds that have developed this semester between students and mentors. These relationships are helping students grow professionally and build meaningful networks, providing them with essential tools and perspectives for future success.

We’re excited to carry this momentum into the Spring 2026 semester!

This past weekend, Start-Up Nation Mentorship (SUNM) hosted our annual Training Summit in NYC, under the leadership of newly-appointed CEO Tamar Lando and our campus executive team. The three-day event brought together the newest cohort of campus leaders from 25 universities across the US, Canada, and UK for a weekend of skill development, knowledge exchange, and team-building.

Our cohort learned from some of the brightest minds in the fields of business, technology, journalism, and policy, such as Andrew Marks, Co-Founder & Co-Managing Partner of TQ Ventures, Mark Halperin, Journalist and Founder of 2WAY, Benjamin Simon, Co-Founder & CEO of Axilon, and Ron Miasnik, Partner at Bain Capital Ventures.

SUNM Young Leaders Fellowship program alumni Grace Hannah Park, Vice President at Goldman Sachs (Cornell ’19), and Donn Boddie, Investor at 9Yards Capital (UPenn Wharton ’20), highlighted their experiences in Israel alongside other young professional leaders, which introduced them to Israel’s unique culture and society, as well as its thriving tech and investment ecosystem.

On Sunday, May 25th, 2025, Start-Up Nation Mentorship hosted mentors, partners, and friends in Tel Aviv for the Annual Cocktail Evening, in partnership with Microsoft.

It was outstanding to have companies like Greenfield Partners, Viola Credit, Aleph VC, and so many more represented at the event. It was also very special to have been joined by our cohort of 18 elite, non-Jewish young professionals pursuing finance and tech on the Annual Young Leaders Fellowship.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined us — your energy, passion, and commitment is what makes this all possible!

Last week, our Start-Up Nation Mentorship team hosted an inspiring evening with TAU Trust at Katten’s London offices, bringing together student leaders and industry experts.

A special thank you to Andrew L. Cohen, Executive Chairman of the Global Private Bank and a Global Chair of Investment Banking at J.P. Morgan, who imparted invaluable insights on global commerce and Israel’s impact worldwide.

Additionally, we heard from Adam Shapiro, Co-Founder and Chairman of Start-Up Nation Mentorship, who emphasized the importance of engaging students in conversations about Israel’s world contributions.

We were also lucky to hear from Illai Gescheit, the Founding Partner of Gescheit & Partners, who shared powerful words on reshaping the conversation around Israel and empowering future leaders in business and technology.

Finally, we are grateful for TAU Trustee & Katten Partner Daniel Lewin and the entire Katten team for their generous support in making this event possible.

To all who joined us—your engagement and enthusiasm made the evening a success. We look forward to hosting more events like this in the future, fostering meaningful connections and conversations.

During the Fall 2024 semester, our SUNM Campus Directors hosted dinners in the US, UK and Canada to bring together students in our mentorship program. This provided an opportunity for students to share key takeaways from meaningful conversations with their Israeli mentors and discuss Israel’s innovation hub. A special thank you to Keith Breslauer, Managing Director at Patron Capital Partners, for leading discussions at our London Dinner.

Our SUNM team is thrilled by the semester’s successes and the strong relationships students have formed with their Israeli mentors. We believe these connections will continue to support professional growth and expand networks, equipping our student mentees with the valuable tools and knowledge necessary for success.
