We are so proud to be long-time partners with Mitch – since training staff at the orphanage in specialized, trauma-informed, play-based learning techniques that are still helping children to this day.

In just two years, Rise Alliance For Children Vietnam trained 16 local teachers to independently organize and deliver play-based training – creating a sustainable model that continues to grow without us leading every session.

We invested in passionate educators who believed in the power of learning through play.

Did you know, girls with stronger numeracy and reading skills are less likely to get pregnant as teenagers?

In Ethiopia, numeracy is linked to better sexual and reproductive health knowledge, while reading is associated with later first births. In Nairobi, stronger numeracy skills in adolescent girls are directly linked to lower rates of early pregnancy.

Every child deserves the freedom to play outside. For many children in Ukraine, years of air raids and disruption have turned playgrounds into places of fear.

This International Day of Play, Rise Ukraine brought volunteers together across the country to help change that. Through community activities designed to get children back outdoors, we created moments of laughter, connection and carefree play – giving children the chance to rediscover nature as a place of safety, joy and freedom.

Every game enjoyed, every smile shared and every moment spent outside is more than just play. It's a step toward healing.

Our trauma-informed programs are shaped by the communities we serve, using the power of play to help children recover, build resilience and thrive.
