An estimated 2.5 million dogs are raised and killed for their meat every year in South Korea. Since 2019, humane Society of the United States has partnered with Jindo Love Rescue to save hundreds of dogs each year and place them in loving forever homes in the U.S. and Canada.
In order to save so many dogs, humane Society of the United States and Jindo Love Rescue rely on travelers who volunteer to bring dogs with them when they fly from South Korea to the U.S.
