GDSC Baruch College

GDSC Baruch College Google Developer Student Clubs (GDSC) are community groups for college and university students interested in Google developer technologies.

Our mission at the Google Developer Student Club Baruch College is to provide students opportunities to grow as developers, to develop solutions for problems within our local communities, and to learn about the many technologies Google has to offer. Students from all undergraduate or graduate programs with an interest in growing as a developer are welcome. By joining a GDSC, students grow their kn

owledge in a peer-to-peer learning environment and build solutions for local businesses and their community. Our goals currently consist of introducing students at Baruch College to many development concepts such as cloud computing, machine learning, etc. We plan on teaching these concepts using free open source Google technologies. We also plan to allow members of the club to formulate teams to participate in Google’s 2022 Solution Challenge. Hello GDSC Members! We hope you are all having a great year so far! Last year brought many challenges, but it also brought a greater spirit around helping each other and giving back to our communities. We are happy to announce that the 2022 Solution Challenge is now available to register for! The mission of the challenge is to solve for one or more of the United Nations' 17 Sustainable Development Goals using Google Technology. This challenge is for everybody so if you're interested, feel free to RSVP at the kick off event below!

What is a Cloud Digital Leader?
A Cloud Digital Leader can articulate the capabilities of Google Cloud core products and services and how they benefit organizations. The Cloud Digital Leader can also describe common business use cases and how cloud solutions support an enterprise.
The Cloud Digital Leader exam is job-role agnostic and does not require hands-on experience with Google Cloud.
The Cloud Digital Leader exam assesses your knowledge in three areas:

-General cloud knowledge
-General Google Cloud knowledge
-Google Cloud products and services

CTP is a free, year-long program that includes a semester-long Full Stack Web Development or Data Science sprint, additional project-based coursework, dedicated career coaching, and access to tech connections and roles in NYC.

In order to be eligible to join CUNY Tech Prep you must:

- be a Computer Science (or related) major
- be graduating Fall 2022– Summer 2025
- have completed course work in Data Structures

(These are requirements for the CTP program, not the workshop)
