Art for Refugees in Transition

Art for Refugees in Transition A.R.T. provides training and support programs that enable elders in refugee communities to teach their cultural traditions to their community's children.

Art for Refugees in Transition, A.R.T., provides training and support programs that enable grandparents or elders in refugee communities around the world to teach their own cultural heritage, history and arts to their community’s children. A.R.T.’s programs are powerful community builders that provide opportunities for refugees to establish or reinforce their sense of individual and cultural ident

ity, to rebuild lost intergenerational bonds and to begin to heal emotional wounds. These activities help refugee communities recover from the trauma, terror, and dislocation of war and natural disaster.
