Hello! We are easing into our community actions after a month long break and it feels so good to make a part of our culture at Claim Our Space NOW. We are actively resisting capitalism and white supremacy in our survival organizing and resource sharing. Maybe it’ll catch on!
We hope you were able to make use our digital community resources while we rested our bodies and minds to better inform our survival work through the end of the year and beyond.
What’s changed since we left?
* Our storage unit rent increased $70 extra a month - help us continue our operations by making a donation https://lnkd.in/egCRtkuK
* The collective has seemed to forget this fight is intersectional. We’ve been seeing some dreadful infighting between Black cis people towards our q***r community. White supremacy is a weapon that continues to delude us into competing for our liberation we resist this actively in our work by leaning into our education and making community resources accessible to center our most impacted intersections of Black people: q***r, disabled, elderly, and more.
* The climate crisis has upgraded to boiling and our so-called leaders are letting corporations push us to the brink of extinction
* The list goes on…
It’s clear that mutual aid is going to be the mode for our survival and we have to start practicing our liberation NOW if we want to make it together. So pull up and do the work with us in our learning, mobilizing, and creating systems of community care and action to dismantle the very systems that seek to erase us.
