Last Friday, May 15, we celebrated the inaugural year of our Chamber Music program at of Lincoln Center with a culminating Quartet Masterclass led by CMS artist James Thompson. Our two OMP quartets had the privilege of being coached in a meaningful session that highlighted their growth throughout the year.

In this video, students were asked to stand when playing an important part in their piece—an engaging exercise that reinforced the importance of understanding not only one’s own part, but how all parts come together to create the ensemble sound.

This past Sunday, 17 OMP composers had their original works premiered and performed by Juilliard students! 🎶

It was a beautiful and inspiring afternoon celebrating the creativity, talent, and hard work of our young composers, ages 9–18.

A huge thank you to our composition teachers, Kunal Gala and Aidan Gold, for mentoring these students and guiding them to this milestone. And congratulations to all of our composers on this incredible achievement!

🎶 We are so proud to announce that our students raised over $5,500 towards our Spring Campaign during their Practice-A-Thon — logging over 200 hours of individual practice along the way. Watching their dedication has been truly inspiring!

Congratulations to our Chamber Orchestra for winning the top spot with nearly 100 hours of collective practice reported!

Our Spring Campaign is underway!

For two weeks (April 20–May 1), OMP students are taking on a Practice-A-Thon—working toward collective practice goals as they prepare for the Season Finale.
