Thank you Museum of Fine Arts Houston for celebrating Joseph Glasco’s (1925-1996) centenary with an exhibition and talk.
A CELEBRATION
THE CENTENARARY OF JOSEPH GLASCO’S BIRTH BY THE MUSEUM OF FINE ARTS, HOUSTON
Four outstanding works representing of abstract work of Joseph Glasco (1925-1996) have been installed in the Caroline Wiess Law Building of The Museum of Fine Arts, Houston to commemorate the 100th anniversary of his birth. The museum in Houston has the largest number of works by Glasco in a public institution in the U.S.
This installation was planned and the celebratory labels written by the by Isabel Brown Wilson Curator of Modern and Contemporary Art at the MFAH Alison de Lima Greene, with the assistance of Naveen Krishnan and Alice Chambers, curatorial assistants in the department.
