Starting Tuesday… we are seeing APF’s next offering… Intríngulis! Join us! DM for a code (or preview comps)! ❤️🔔🪢

When he was in high school, Carlo Albán was a cast member on Sesame Street—playing a nice American boy teaching other nice American children essential lessons. Off camera, he was an undocumented immigrant, hiding in plain sight and learning lessons of his own.

Last performed in 2011, Intríngulis returns with new urgency in 2026. The word means a snag, a complication—a knot you can’t easily untangle. Carlo’s solo play traces his family’s immigration journey and the long path to legalization, told from the fault lines of what it means to be “American.” Told with pathos, music, joy, and scathing honesty, this is a true story of family, fearlessness, and what it means to speak the world in many languages.

Written and Performed by Carlo Albán
Directed by Rebecca Martinez

Performances:
May 26-June 7
Tuesday-Friday @ 7pm; Saturdays @ 2pm & 7pm; Sundays @ 3pm
Theatre One @ Theatre Row, 412 West 42nd Street

FIRST DAY OF REHEARSAL: What does it mean to live? Molly Carden (Emotional Creature, The Matriarchs) takes us on a biting, funny, and searing personal journey through her brain: adolescent death wishes, white rooms, uber ballerinas, and what we do to escape them. I Came Back For Molly is a new solo piece about finding light in dark places.
