Arthur Mathias was building his life in Edmonton; working as a biologist, raising a family, living like any other thirty-something. Until a stage 3 pancreatic cancer diagnosis changed everything.

Three years later, he’s living with the disease and turning his experience into art through his comic series 'Hope and Healing' - showing what early onset pancreatic cancer really looks like.

During , we are leading a global movement to unite everyone affected by this disease.

In past years, we have seen monuments lit purple to raise awareness. This November, we are asking our community to unite in a different way. Instead of illuminating landmarks, we are illuminating why we need to make pancreatic cancer impossible to ignore.

We invite you to take part in our campaign by sharing your why: your personal motivation for demanding change in pancreatic cancer outcomes. Repost one of these images, upload your own video, share a few words, or a memory that captures your reason for showing up, and tag Pancreatic Cancer North America with the hashtags and .

Together, we will fill social feeds with the voices, faces, and stories that show what this movement is truly about: Survival, not sympathy.

Today, we honor the strength, love, and legacy of mothers.

For many, Mother’s Day is a time of celebration. For others, it is a day marked by grief and a quiet rage - especially for those who have lost a mother to pancreatic cancer.

At Pancreatic Cancer North America, we are driven by the stories of incredible women - mothers whose lives were cut too short and whose legacies power the work we do every day.

Join us, honor a mother in your life by making a gift in her name. Together, we will work toward survival, not sympathy: https://pancreaticcancerna.org/?form=donatenow
