🔥🚒 Fighting for Justice 🔥🚒
Friends, I come to you today with a heavy heart and a burning determination to shed light on the appalling behavior of our City. This is a story that deserves your attention, as it exposes the true colors of those who should be protecting our heroes.
You may remember Firefighter Tim Rivicci, an unwavering hero who fearlessly served our community throughout the pandemic. He dedicated himself to ensuring our safety, risking his own life day in and day out. But what did our City do in return? They callously disposed of him like trash, terminating him, cutting him off from a career he loved, benefits, a pension, the ability to provide for his family and essentially foreclosing him from firefighting in NYC.
Justice prevailed, as the Court recognized the City’s illegal actions and overturned their heartless termination. The City was ordered to reinstate Tim with backpay back in October of 2022. At that point, after almost a year with no pay and his home in forbearance, he finally had a glimmer of hope in his fight for justice. However, his hopes were dashed once more when the City filed an appeal today - a slap in the face to this courageous firefighter and an infuriating display of their lack of remorse.
Today, we stand in solidarity with Firefighter Tim Rivicci. We stand against a City that betrays its heroes, a City that fails to acknowledge the sacrifices made by those who put their lives on the line to protect us, and a City that refuses to right it’s wrongs. We demand accountability, not just for Tim, but for every hero who has faced such injustice.
Share this post, spread the word, and let's rally together to support Firefighter Tim Rivicci. It's time for the City to face the consequences of their actions. Let's show them the strength of our community, the power of our voice, and our unwavering support for those who have dedicated their lives to keeping us safe. We will demand that heroes like Tim are treated with the respect, dignity, and gratitude they truly deserve.
