Jake Robertson is a young composer located in New York, NY. He started his music journey at the age of 12, when he found a love for movie scores/soundtracks, game and trailer music. Following his passion, he was later introduced to music theory and the clarinet, taking his first instrument lessons. He was recognized and awarded a pin of achievement while playing clarinet in his first orchestra performance in 6th grade. As he progressed throughout grade school, Jake joined the school drum line and played the snare drum. This led to more performances including a variety of school performances, parades and sports events.
Later in his music journey, Jake decided to take advanced music theory and composition courses with the University of Edinburgh and Evenant. Furthering his education, Jake has taken Piano Performance and Theory at the Pianissimo Academy, as well as cello lessons with Kaufman Music Center. Soon after, Jake obtained his bachelor’s degree in music production from the Los Angeles Film School. He produces many genres primarily composing music scores for film, games and trailers. He also composes other genres of music including, but not limited to, lo-fi, trap, hip-hop, and hybrid ambient music.
Furthermore, in his music career, Jake has partnered with Zobelab, Inc., as a Music Expert, creating music theory courses for Zobelab, Inc.’s app users. Currently, Jake has also started building his own nonprofit, dedicated to the music industry called, SyEn3rgy Music, Inc., with a mission to provide music education, gear and resources to its aspiring music student members. SyEn3rgy Music, Inc. is scheduled to be fully operational and functional by the end of 2027.
Jake has long-term goals to not only to successfully operate his nonprofit, but also continue his music education by pursuing a bachelor’s in music theory and composition in fall 2027, and following with obtaining his master’s in film scoring.
