🚨 A proud day for Semper Paratus Lodge No. 10079 🚨
On Sunday 30th August, Brethren gathered at Trinity Lane, Beverley for the Lodge's first Installation ceremony since its consecration last December. Semper Paratus (Always Ready) is the only Masonic Lodge in the UK that meets on a Sunday, and it holds a special place in Yorkshire Freemasonry as a Special Interest Lodge for members of the emergency services.
W Bro Tony Dyer was installed as Worshipful Master, taking on the role built by the Lodge's founding Master, RW Bro Mark Iveson, who has since become the Province's Provincial Grand Master. Fittingly, the ceremony leaned into the emergency services theme throughout, right down to the truncheon used in place of the traditional gavel.
Congratulations to W Bro Dyer and all the Officers, and thank you to everyone who made the day so memorable. Onwards!
There was also collarettes presented by the RW ProvGM to
- Past Deputy Provincial Grand Master Bill Glanville
- Past Assistant Provincial Grand Master Chris Thomas
Welcome back Bill - it is great to see you back at a Lodge meeting!
