A big thank you to Community FoodBank of NJ for their generosity in awarding ALMS the NJ FoodBank Capacity Grant. Through the grant we were able to work with Rutgers Police Department, , PACCAL of Jersey City, and our AmeriCorps New Jersey volunteers to distribute to over 500 families. We were also able to increase our cold storage capacity for the communities we serve in New Jersey. Special thanks to the Rutgers Newark Police, Lt. Jamie Hendrix, Ria Serrano from PACCAL and Mina Abadir for their help in coordinating the food distribution and deliveries.
