စစ်တပ်ရဲ့ အာဏာသိမ်းမှု ၄နှစ်တာကာလအတွင်း ကျောင်းသားလူငယ်တွေရဲ့ပညာရေးကဏ္ဍက ဆုတ်ယုတ်သွားပြီး လုပ်ငန်းခွင်အတွေ့အကြုံနည်းပါးလာမှုကြောင့် အလုပ်အကိုင်အခွင့်အလမ်းများလည်း ရှားပါးလာပါတယ်။

အဆိုပါ Advocacy Session တွင် ဆရာဂျိမ်းစ်ရွှေမှ အမေရိကန်အစိုးရရဲ့ မြန်မာနိုင်ငံအပေါ် ဆောင်ရွက်သည့် Burma Actရဲ့ အရေးပါပုံ၊ မြန်မာနိုင်ငံရဲ့ ဒီမိုကရေစီလှုပ်ရှားမှုအတွက် ပိုမိုထိရောက်အောင် ဆောင်ရွက်နိုင်ရန် အမေရိကန် အထက်လွှတ်တော်နှင့် အောက်လွှတ်တော်ကို Advocacy နည်းလမ်းဖြင့် ညှိနှိုင်းဆောင်ရွက်ပုံ၊ မြန်မာစစ်တပ်လော်ဘီတွေရဲ့ လျှို့ဝှက်စွာလှုပ်ရှား ဝါဒဖြန့်ချီကြပုံ၊ USAID မှ မြန်မာနိုင်ငံမှ ကျောင်းသားများအတွက် ပေးအပ်သည့် Scholarshipအပေါ် အမေရိကန်သမ္မတရဲ့ သဘောထားနှင့် အမျိုးသားညီညွတ်ရေးအစိုးရ နဲ့ နိုင်ငံတကာသံတမန်ဆက်ဆံရေးတွေကိုအသေးစိတ်သင်ကြားပေးခဲ့ပါတယ်။

During the four years of military rule, the education sector for students has deteriorated, and due to a lack of work experience, job opportunities have also become scarce.

To provide work experience for students who have faced a scarcity of job opportunities, the Sone Yay Foundation launched a four-month Crisis Project Management Internship Program. A total of 32 students, both from within Myanmar and abroad, successfully participated in the internship.

On December 22, 2024, an Advocacy Session titled "How To Become A Better Advocate: Tools And Tips" was conducted as part of the Crisis Project Management Internship Program, taught by Saya James Shwe, a Human Rights Advocate.

In the Advocacy Session, Saya James Shwe explained the importance of the Burma Act, implemented by the U.S. government, in addressing the situation in Myanmar. He discussed how to engage with the U.S. Senate and House of Representatives through effective advocacy methods to strengthen the Myanmar democracy movement. Additionally, he highlighted the secret lobbying activities conducted by the Myanmar military, the U.S. President's stance on scholarships provided by USAID for Myanmar students, and provided detailed lessons on the international diplomatic relations of the NUG (National Unity Government).

The Sone Yay Foundation is a volunteer-based, non-profit organization registered in the United States that provides humanitarian assistance to address the current needs in Myanmar.

We hve weekly gathering platform via zoom, called Love Language Circle since early 2021 after rhe coup. We ran that as self help virtual team till May 2023 and have privillage enough to set up our nonprofit foundation regardless of any challenges.

We have based our discussion on basic rights on daily basis and provide a list of table topics to help participants begin their conversation. 🎊 On October 26, 2024, Sone Yay Foundation conducted a workshop titled "Myanmar Economic Reform (2017-2021): A Case Study" for Sone Yay interns aged from 17-30 The purpose of this workshop was to introduce the country economic initiatives and how to contribute their part civic drive to the future of Myanmar in the near future. It is concerning that many of them are still officially out of formal school for over 4 years and they are persistently working hard to keep learning journey going with Sone Yay and other online free education. Many had raise serious concern about their future especially with their education and social justice. 🎉

🎊 Professor Sean Turnell (Australian Economist, Author, Former political prisoner, and powerhouse advocate for Myanmar) attended as a Special Guest Speaker, along with 30 Sone Yay interns and invited Sone Yay Board members and special guests. 🥳
In the "Myanmar Economic Reform: A Case Study" workshop, the following five topics were discussed, followed by an interactive Q&A session with project leaders, Sone Yay leaders, and volunteers:
(1) Myanmar Economic Plan
(2) Banking System Reform
(3) Financial Reform Beyond Banks
(4) Economic Outcome In China
(5) Covid-19 Impact on Myanmar Economy

The discussion covered projects implemented during 2017-2021, including interesting discussions about the civilian led democratic government's economic initiatives such as the Myanmar Sustainable Development Plan (MSDP), Covid Economic Relief Plan (CERP), and Myanmar Economics Resilience and Reform Plan (MERRO). Additionally, they discussed the importance of maintaining stable currency rates and implementing proper tax and insurance systems for economic stability.

The session also addressed current challenges in the financial and economic sectors under military rule, and explored how young people can contribute to this reform in the future endeavors during this humanitarian crisis and post-spring revolution.
The program successfully concluded after productive discussions with Myanmar youth sharing their perspectives.

(င ) ရေတက်နေချိန်တွင် ကလေးငယ်များနှင့် အိမ်မွေးတိရိစ္ဆာန်များကို အထူးအလေးထား၍ ကာကွယ်စောင့်ရှောက်ပါ။ ကလေးငယ်များ ရေထဲတွင်ဆော့ကစားခြင်း မပြုလုပ်ရပါ။

(စ ) ရေထဲတွင်အညစ်အကြေးများ ရောနှောပါဝင်နေသည့်အတွက် အဆိုပါရေကိုသောက်ခြင်း၊ ၎င်းနှင့်ထိတွေ့ထားသည့် အစားအသောက်များကို စားခြင်းတို့ မပြုလုပ်ရပါ။
