Pride doesn’t end in June, and neither does the work.

This Pride season, GBGMC’s Pride Is Power campaign reminds us that celebration must become action.

Black gay, bis*xual, and same-loving men continue to face barriers to health, safety, visibility, and representation. Through advocacy, research, storytelling, and community-led initiatives, GBGMC is building a future where our communities are seen, supported, and empowered.

Pride is more than a moment. It is a movement.

Download the Pride Is Power Supporter Toolkit and find ways to support, share, fundraise, and amplify the movement beyond June.

Two of the three reports in GBGMC's Policy Analysis Series are now available for download.

As global HIV funding landscapes shift and countries transition toward greater ownership of HIV responses, critical questions remain: Who is being counted, who remains visible, and who is being left behind?

Our latest reports examine the growing challenges facing key population programming, accountability, and representation within the global HIV response:

1. The Disappearance of Key Populations
Exploring how changes in PEPFAR reporting and data systems are reducing visibility into key population programming and outcomes.

2. Out of Frame: How PEPFAR's MoUs Remove Key Populations from the HIV Response
Examining how transition agreements may weaken accountability and further marginalise communities already at risk of exclusion.

Together, these analyses contribute to an important conversation about equity, data visibility, and the future of HIV prevention and treatment efforts.

We invite advocates, policymakers, researchers, journalists, donors, and community leaders to download, read, and share these reports.

Access the reports today and join the conversation on ensuring no community is left behind in the global HIV response.

Pride has always been more than a celebration, it’s a commitment to showing up for one another.

As LGBTQ+ communities face growing attacks on our rights, visibility, and access to resources, community-led organizations are being asked to do more with less. At GBGMC, we work year-round to strengthen Black LGBTQ+ leadership, advance health equity, build global partnerships, and create spaces where our communities can thrive.

Your support powers this work long after Pride Month ends.

Join our Pride Is Power summer campaign and invest in a stronger future for Black LGBTQ+ communities worldwide.

10 Years Later. Still Here. Still Fighting.

Ten years ago, our Executive Director, Micheal Ighodaro, stood outside the United Nations in the rain alongside fellow advocates demanding one simple truth: gay men and other key populations must not be erased from the global HIV response.

That same night, Beyoncé’s Formation World Tour was in New York. He had tickets. Instead, he chose the protest line, the advocacy meetings, and the fight to secure the inclusion of gay men in the final Political Declaration on HIV/AIDS.

A decade later, we are back at the United Nations.

Many of the battles have changed, but the struggle remains the same. We are once again fighting to ensure that gay men, bis*xual men, transgender people, s*x workers, and other key populations are visible, counted, funded, and prioritized in the global HIV response.

The difference today is that some governments that once stood beside our communities are now actively challenging the very principles of inclusion, equity, and human rights that have driven progress for decades.

Progress has never been automatic. Every gain has been won because communities organized, mobilized, and refused to be invisible.

Ten years later, we are still here. Still organizing. Still resisting. Still demanding an HIV response that leaves no one behind.

The fight continues.

“If they are not visible, they are not served.”

Today, we are releasing Out of Frame — GBGMC’s latest policy analysis examining how PEPFAR’s new Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) are reshaping the HIV response and what that means for key populations.

Across the agreements reviewed, key populations are absent from service delivery commitments, performance metrics, governance structures, and accountability frameworks. When communities disappear from the data, they risk disappearing from the response.

This report asks a simple question:

How can we end the epidemic if we can no longer see the populations most affected by it?

Read the report. Share it. Join the conversation.

Pride has always been more than a celebration, it’s a commitment to showing up for one another.

Right now, LGBTQ+ communities around the world are facing increasing attacks on our rights, our visibility, and our access to critical resources. At the same time, community-led organizations are being asked to do more with fewer resources, even as the need for advocacy, leadership development, health equity, and global connection continues to grow.

That's why supporting LGBTQ+ organizations today matters more than ever. At GBGMC, we are working year-round to strengthen Black LGBTQ+ leadership, advocate for health equity, build global partnerships, and create spaces where our communities can connect, organize, and thrive.

This Give OUT Day, turn your Pride into action. Your donation helps power the work long after Pride Month ends.

We hit the streets at DC Black Pride and POSH to talk about something that got people talking 👀

What if HIV prevention could be as simple as taking one pill once a month?

From curiosity to excitement (and plenty of questions!), these conversations reminded us how important it is to bring new prevention options directly to the community.

Check out some of the moments from the road. 🎥✨
