We’ve spent years asking a simple question at GBGMC: what if HIV prevention didn’t only live in clinics, conferences, reports and campaigns? What if it also lived in our music, our stories, our culture and our joy?

Today, we’re incredibly proud to share Red Light Diaries — the Soundtrack Album, produced by Global Black Gay Men Connect (GBGMC) as part of our PrEP Power work to reimagine how we create demand for HIV prevention.

Through the Equal PrEP Project, GBGMC, with support from the Elton John AIDS Foundation, brought together civil society leaders, government representatives, and community advocates in for a capacity-strengthening workshop focused on advancing equitable access to HIV prevention for key populations.

The convening created space to share experiences, strengthen collaboration, and reflect on what it will take to ensure communities have access to HIV prevention options that meet their needs.

Together, we’re building stronger, community-centred approaches to HIV prevention in Zambia and Eswatini.
