Alex Zanardi embodied what it means to be resilient and mentally tough, the definition of a great comeback story.
Despite losing both of his legs in an IndyCar race, he learned to walk again on prosthetic legs and returned to racing in car modified to accommodate his new state.
He won several gold medals earning him the title of “Paralympic Champion” . After meeting him in 2018, he suffered yet another major accident in 2020. Unfortunately, he passed away this week but he left us with a major lesson.
Never give up! Our mission is to enable a strong fight and will to survive in each pediatric patient we meet and stand for. Mr. Zanardi was once quoted “I lost my legs, but not my will to live”.
Rest easy fighter… and for the kids, keep fighting 💪🏎️
