For folks who want to learn more about NYC Chinatown Architecture from yesterday (1920s) to the present day (2024), visit Cheryl Wong's in-depth research of NYC Chinatown's architecture.
Cheryl Wong has done an exhaustive review of what Chinatown was in the 1900s and how is transformed to today's present time.
The exhibit will be up for only a few more days.
Cheryl will give a special presentation on her exhibit "Reflective Urbanism: Mapping New York Chinatown" on Tuesday, September 10th from 6:00 pm to 8 pm.
You will learn about the infamous landmark buildings of NYC Chinatown such as: 5 Mott Street (Ng Family Association): 7-9 Mott (Port Arthur Restaurant & the original Chinatown Fair); 21 Mott (Jan Lee's family building that houses the famous HopKee Restaurant), 41 Mott (Lee Family Association), 21 Pell Street (The First Chinese Baptist Church) and 83 Mott Street (the iconic pagoda On Leung Association) to name a few. Come learn about how the history of NYC Chinatown Architecture evolved over the past 100 years.
