Runaway and Homeless Youth Service
Stability in youths’ lives is critical for youth to thrive and successfully transition to adulthood. Unfortunately, many youth experience homelessness and housing instability at some point during their young adulthood, but this population can be difficult to locate or identify. Increasing attention is being given to identifying methods to better estimate this population, including enhancing existing count methodologies to be more sensitive to the characteristics of homeless youth.
Runaway & Homeless Youth services are designed to protect runaway and homeless youth and to ensure that young people have access to the resources they need to get off the streets and stabilize their lives RHY Services also provides specialized programming for runaway and homeless young people who are pregnant and parenting, sexually-exploited, and Le***an, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Questioning (LGBTQ) youth. young people will have access to the resources they need to get off the streets and stabilize their lives.
