Dear Help Is On The Way Today:
Project STAY (Services To Assist Youth) is a program for HIV-positive youth ages 14 – 24 years old. We have youth that is attending high school, GED programs, and college. Many of our youth are at the poverty level and are unable to buy school supplies. Due to the pandemic and the negative impact it has had on the economy, many of our youth and their parents have lost their jobs. The backpack donation was greatly needed. Your generous donation of 20 backpacks and school supplies was greatly appreciated. These youth were grateful that they were able to be prepared for school, which will in turn help them be successful in school.
Thank you again for your annual donation of backpacks and school supplies to Project STAY youth. We are honored to be recipients of your foundation’s generosity.
Sincerely,
Joanna Pudil, LCSW-R

Dear Mr. Macchia,

I would like to thank you and your organization, Help Is on the Way Today, for the 150 toys you donated to our program. Given the current economic climate, most of families have had difficulty buying toys for their children. By being our Santa, your organization has given our families a very Merry Christmas.

Thank you again for your generosity.

To Whom It May Concern:

This letter is to confirm that that IAM/Jack Martin Fund Clinic was the lucky recipient of backpack donations from Help Is On The Way Today. We are a specialty clinic serving HIV+ children and youth as well as those who are directly affected by HIV. Each year we rely on the generosity of this organization and this year was no different. While many of our patients are studying remotely, the backpacks were a wonderful way to organize supplies and work in what is often times a chaotic home environment. The backpacks were also a reminder of normalcy in these challenging and unusual times of the COVID 19 pandemic.

As always, we rely on Joseph and his team for their incredible caring for our patients. We cannot thank you enough.

Sincerely,

Jocelyn

Help Is On The Way Today

A LETTER FROM OUR PRESIDENT AND FOUNDER

I would like to share a story with you. I was putting together an annual holiday toy and gift drive to help children living with HIV and AIDS. A friend referred me to a home called The Incarnation Children's Center in Washington Heights. It was there I met an amazing young boy named David who was HIV positive and also had Cerebral Palsy .

I learned that David, who was in need of a new motorized wheelchair had been denied his request from Medicaid, although all the necessary paperwork had been submitted three different times. I was outraged. I immediately began to think what I could do to get him this much needed wheelchair. On February 5, 2005 I produced DIVAPALOOZA 2 a fund-raising event where we raised the money for David's wheelchair.

I knew that David was not the only child in this similar situation and in need of help, so I decided to start my own non-profit organization called Help Is On The Way Today. The organization was founded to help and assist children, youths and teens in the tri-state area who are living with HIV and AIDS through our work and outreach. In the first three years, Help Is On The Way Today has raised more than $100,000.00 for this cause.
