My mom taught me the therapeutic power of cleaning. Open all the windows. Throw out the old. Wipe down the entire house. Burn some incense. Roast some coffee.
Then rest.
That way the tears from last night don’t feel as heavy.

We all share the shame who are witnessing this murder of humanity. But it has been going on from the past. It has only gotten worse. And we will all stay silent until we become the victims. May Allah open our hearts as well as our eyes to see the truth and allow us to feel their pain and make sincere dua'a Ya Allah Ya Latif!

"The truth is that we have all become emotionally numb. We're not desensitized because we are all hurting so bad. We definitely "feel" the pain, like how you feel the needle when you are injected after a local anaesthetic, but we just can't process it. We're just numb, paralyzed, frozen. Don't know what to say or do. It's like our hearts have run out a breath and they can't speak their words from the language of feelings such as sadness, hope and compassion."
