PM Theater is a New York based Nonprofit Theater company, which was formed as a result of a common need by a group of professionally trained, international actors to tell meaningful stories. The company prides itself on working with professionals from around the world, bringing to life new original works, as well as highly regarded classics, in multiple languages, in an avant-garde, unfamiliar way

Keeping their hand on the world's pulse and exploring works which are both timely and important, the company continues to bring the audience's attention to some of the most important questions, which they dare to ask, albeit not always having the answers. The audience is continually encouraged to find their own way, while guided by the ideas and imagery they witness on stage. The company constantly strives to bring light to what's important now, the best way they know how - through theater.

ALIA AZAMAT ASHKENAZI
Filmmaker • Producer
An Uzbekistan-born filmmaker living in exile from Russia, Alia has been lauded with two United Nations Awards for her documentary work and theater direction. Her romance thriller ESTHER’S CHOICE, starring François Arnaud, won multiple festival awards in 2020 and launched her narrative filmmaking career. She now writes and directs films in the United States and Europe while also directing commercials for clients like Netflix and General Motors. As reported by Variety, Ashkenazi is preparing to direct CHILDREN OF NOWHERE, a French historical drama starring Laëtitia Eïdo, while her co-written ballet thriller PRIMA, starring Nicola Peltz Beckham, Faye Dunaway, and Mira Sorvino, is currently in post-production.

In 2026, Ashkenazi co-wrote and produced the Off-Broadway world premiere of THE NAKED WOMAN, adapted from the feature screenplay she wrote with Allie Avital. The production played to sold-out audiences throughout its run and is now preparing a U.S. tour. The feature film, to be directed by Avital, is currently in development with an Academy Award-winning production company..

MEET THE ARTIST
Taras Luka is an award-winning Ukrainian-Canadian composer, pianist, accordionist, and music director whose work connects concert music, cinema, theatre, and live performance.

He has composed and directed music for productions including Romeo & Juliet, Heart in Half, Buka, and In Captivity, earning national nominations and international festival recognition.

His music has been performed across Canada, the United States, Italy, Poland, and Ukraine. In 2022, his orchestral work Choral of Freedom premiered in Italy under conductor Oksana Lyniv at Teatro Comunale di Bologna and Teatro Verdi Pordenone.

Through his multidisciplinary work, Taras creates immersive experiences that unite music, film, and Ukrainian cultural heritage..
