Southeast Bronx Neighborhood Centers, Inc. (SEBNC) is proud to welcome our new Executive Director, Nicole Benjamin.
Nicole is a nonprofit leader dedicated to improving opportunities and outcomes for socially and economically underserved communities. She is an advocate, strategic thinker, and convener who excels at inspiring and mobilizing diverse stakeholders around critical social issues.
As Executive Director of SEBNC, Nicole leads the vision, strategy, and operations of an organization serving over 4,000 children, youth, adults, and families with wraparound services across Morrisania, Longwood, and Hunts Point. She oversees 15 programs, including daycares, preschools, after school programs, respite services, day programs, and residential programs.
Previously, Nicole served as Assistant Executive Director of Quality Improvement and Compliance and Corporate Compliance Officer at The Arc Westchester, the largest agency in Westchester County serving youth and adults with developmental disabilities. Her leadership strengthened advocacy, external engagement, program development and evaluation, quality improvement, staff development, DEI, and contracts for more than 2,000 individuals.
Nicole has also held key roles with the Westchester County Department of Social Services and the NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, where she advanced audit and compliance practices, expanded access to wraparound services, and helped reduce recidivism for justice-involved individuals.
A committed civic leader, Nicole has held leadership roles with the Westchester Black Women’s Political Caucus, Yonkers Women’s Democratic Club, and Junior League of Bronxville, helping advance social justice and public health legislation, including New York’s Ban the Box Act and Raise the Age Act.
We are excited and honored to have Nicole’s leadership guiding SEBNC into its next chapter.
