FLASHBACK • May 23, 2022 | The very, very, very beginning. Our first reading. In a studio on the Lower East side of New York City, Co-Artistic Director Tim Sanford gave opening remarks to a reading of a new play by Beth Henley called LIGHTNING. People were still coming back to shared spaces and the powerful yet simple act of being in a room together and listening to a story after being isolated.

AROUND TOWN | TENTER Lonnie Carter has a new solo work, SHEEN, being read by acclaimed actor Campbell Scott at the Center on Main in Falls Village, Connecticut.

SHEEN takes on Bishop Fulton J. Sheen: the charismatic Catholic bishop whose television program Life Is Worth Living drew a largely non-Catholic audience in the 1950s and earned two Emmy nominations, winning once.

Come hear this new work in the room.
