For more than 130 days, Artsakh has been under siege with no end in sight. This genocidal policy, unfolding in the 21st century, is not only a blatant violation of human rights but also an existential threat to the Armenians of Artsakh. We must not let this continue.

To counter Azerbaijan's genocidal policy towards Artsakh, efforts are being made to establish the Artsakh Information Center—a media center designed to create a powerful and effective impact in the media landscape. The center will harness every available resource to achieve a unified and purposeful outcome. One of its key projects, the Unblock Humanity initiative, is already in motion.

As part of this initiative:

◾ A compelling video will be produced, conveying messages that resonate with a global audience

◾ The video will be distributed worldwide through targeted advertising campaigns and international media outlets

◾ A website will be developed, featuring clear calls to action tailored to users' locations around the world

The project's message is unambiguous: we cannot allow the ongoing blockade of Artsakh, as it represents a tyrannical act that undermines the very foundation of civilized society.

Aliyev has rejected the Minsk Group. For diplomacy to succeed, Blinken must bury Stalin’s legacy. It is time to negotiate Nagorno-Karabakh’s sovereignty based not on the whims of a Soviet dictator but on the democratic and cultural aspirations of its people.

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev’s words on Tuesday were chilling. Forget integration. Forget diplomacy. He demanded Armenia declare, "Karabakh is Azerbaijan," or face the consequences. "Either they [Armenians] should accept Azerbaijani citizenship or find another place of residence," he said.

Azerbaijan bases their claim to Karabakh on borders drawn by dictator Josef Stalin in the early days of the Soviet Union. In general, the international community has not refuted that claim, though there are reasons to think Stalin placed this Armenian mountain enclave within Azerbaijan in order to weaken both states and keep them beholden to the Soviet Union.

Since the 2020 war over Nagorno-Karabakh, it has become apparent that Azerbaijan is set on reconquering the region, also called Artsakh, even at the risk of displacing the 120,000 indigenous ethnic Armenians that live there.

Almost three months ago, the Lachin Corridor was blocked by Azerbaijanis claiming to be environmental activists. But their environmental credentials are far from convincing, and more and more evidence has emerged making clear they are sent and supported by Azerbaijan’s government.

It is clear that the ‘eco-protesters’ blocking the Lachin Corridor were put there by Baku.

Masqueraded as activists protesting the environmental impacts of ore mining operations, rotating affiliates of the authoritarian regime of Azerbaijan have blockaded the Armenian-populated mountainous region of Nagorno-Karabakh since December 12. This has left the disputed region, which is still recovering from the 2020 war launched by Azerbaijan, in the cold and on the brink of starvation.

In Nagorno-Karabakh, President Aliyev's "eco-activists" blockaded the Lachin corridor. It's set a dangerous precedent.
