🌑 Building Eclipse: From an Idea to a Team Effort

What started as a simple AI prototype became something much bigger. 🚀

Eclipse is JGM Innovation’s internal working platform, built by our interns to help our team work smarter and make nonprofit operations more efficient.

💡 It all started with Matthew Tso, who created the first prototype. At the time, Eclipse was an AI tool that audited blog posts and dashboards. He shared it with the team, gathered feedback, and showed us that the idea was worth pursuing.

🚀 From there, the vision grew.

Ruben Giraldo transformed the early prototype into a platform the team could continue building on. Zahyra Otero expanded it with tools for social media generation, AI prompts, skill creation, and a smoother chat experience. 🧩

🔐 Yi Cui focused on making Eclipse reliable and secure, adding security checks, content filtering, file validation, and donor receipt safeguards.

📄 Ismael Hernandez expanded the platform with AI-powered resume review and infrastructure guides, while Sebastian Giraldo created the tools and documentation that allow our team to build new AI skills of their own.

⚙️ Behind the scenes, Pranika Kalluru kept development moving, helping turn new ideas into finished features.

🤝 And that’s what makes Eclipse special: it was built through collaboration.

Every intern brought a different skill, perspective, and idea to the project. Together, they built a platform capable of supporting real nonprofit operations.

The best part? 💙 We didn't buy it. We built it together through collaboration, curiosity, and a shared belief that innovation isn't about the size of an organization, it's about the people willing to create something new.

🏆✈️ JGM Competitions Winners' Trip to Lima

On May 23, 2026, the winners of the JGM Competitions embarked on an unforgettable journey to Lima, Peru; a well-earned reward for their dedication, creativity, and hard work throughout the competition.

This trip was about much more than travel. It gave our students the opportunity to broaden their horizons, experience new opportunities, and celebrate everything they accomplished through the JGM Competitions. Moments like these remind us that when students are encouraged to dream big and work hard, incredible things can happen.

On July 22, 2026, JGM Innovation will officially launch our "Empowering Future Youth Innovators" online fundraising campaign.

This campaign will help make the next JGM Competitions possible, allowing students to develop innovative ideas, strengthen their leadership skills, and discover their potential through hands-on learning.

It will also help send our competition winners on an unforgettable educational trip to Lima, Peru, where they will experience new opportunities, broaden their horizons, and celebrate the achievements they've worked so hard to earn.

❤️💙 Some of the most meaningful moments from the JGM Competitions weren't about winning; they were about supporting one another.

Throughout the day, students from Team Red and Team Blue encouraged their teammates, celebrated each other's successes, and demonstrated outstanding sportsmanship. These moments remind us that collaboration, respect, and friendship are the foundation of true leadership.

At JGM Innovation, we believe every activity is an opportunity to help students develop confidence, communication, and teamwork skills that will serve them well beyond the classroom.
