By utilizing an innovative and interactive curriculum, IMANEE seeks to address various aspects of life and focus on the importance of self-confidence, self-awareness, community service and academic achievement. Our namesake principle! As we reflected on this sacred week and step into 2024, we are hopeful for what the future holds. The last few years we have learned the value of pivoting, of expanding of releasing. It is the faith of our founder, volunteers, our girls, that give us hope for the future and direction of this organization.

To build and maintain our community together and make our community’s problems our problems and to solve them together.

While we all strive to make this world a better place, for I.M.A.N.E.E. , we have identified several areas that we desire to provide solutions for our community. One of those areas is contributing resources to support the mental wellness of girls.

To date, through community contributions and individual fundraisers, we have been able to raise over $2,000 toward our $10,000 goal for our Therapy Fund. Through this fund, we desire to assist families in need with the costs of therapeutic services for girls ages 11-17.

May is Mental Health Awareness Month, and we're shining a spotlight on the mental health struggles faced by Black girls in the United States.

Did you know that Black girls are more likely to experience depression, anxiety, and trauma than their white peers?

They're also less likely to receive mental health treatment and more likely to face discrimination and structural barriers to care.

This month, let's work to raise awareness of these issues and advocate for change. Together, we can create a world where all Black girls have access to the care and support they need to thrive.
