We have exciting news!!! 😍 🎊 🎉 Last month, we welcomed six new board members to the Board of Directors! They come with a wealth of knowledge and experience.

From Top Left:
✨Christy Grace Provines, MPA✨: A Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) With CASA NYC and the Founder and Executive Director of 'MPOWER

✨Richard Nathan✨: A technology professional with 36 years of experience in accounting, software, cybersecurity, due diligence and business process review and the Founder of Richard Nathan Consulting LLC

✨Chantel Jackson✨: A passionate NYS advocate with lived experience for youth with system-invovlement and the Founder of Whole Care Wellness LLC

✨Eidan Maimoni✨: A software engineer at Goldman Sachs in the firm's treasury division. Also has a long track record of tutoring, mentoring, and advocating for students

✨Alyssa Abernathy, LMSW✨: A seasoned and empathetic social work leader with experience in housing programs, shelters, and nonprofits. Also the Founder and Executive Director of the Life Equip Group

✨Alicia Gomez-West, LMSW✨: An experienced social worker with experience providing trauma-informed care to all populations in hospital and domestic violence settings.

Our final board member highlight is Nicholas Woo, our founding Board Treasurer! ✨🔥🥳

Nick is analytical, with a background as a teacher and someone who cares deeply about data.

He is an Assistant Director at Children’s Aid, a NYC-based nonprofit organization, and prior to that he worked in the research department of the New York City Mayor’s Office of Community Mental Health. He has two Master’s Degrees, one in Teaching and one in Public Health.

Originally from Northern California, he lives in Queens with his wife, two kids, and a dog.

We thank Nick for all he's done to help Inspiring Futures grow to what it is today! ✨🔥🥳

Dr. Shawn O'Riley was one of our early board members, joining after participating in a workshop that Inspiring Futures hosted at Pace University, where he is a Vice President.

Dr. O'Riley is an adoptive father and is also involved with other child welfare agencies.

He helped tremendously with strategic thinking as Inspiring Futures went through it's early growth. We appreciate him!!

We had such a great time this past week as we sprung into fashion with our youth at Inspiring Futures ✨

We are grateful to the youth who participated in helping us build community’

Time for another Board Highlight: 🌟 Terrence Smith 🌟

Terrence joined the Board of Directors shortly after it was formed and was crucial in thinking through fundraising and the vision.

He has expertise with Charter schools, youth transitional housing, and in the business sector.

He loves to travel and experience new things!

🌟 Terrence helped Inspiring Futures grow to what it is today! 🌟

Next Board Highlight: 🌟 Victor Tarantino 🌟

Victor joined the Board of Directors shortly after it was formed and has held the position of Compliance Officer ever since.

Victor moved across the country and didn't let that change his commitment to the mission!

He cares deeply about the rights of people and children and has helped the organization with strategy and support.

🌟 He is an integral part of the board! 🌟

Third Board Highlight: ✨Loren Michaels ✨

To round out the founding board members, is Loren... She has worked in the Income Building Department at one of the largest nonprofits fighting housing stability for the past eight years!

She was part of the board for the first two years, helping build partnerships, the foundation of the organization, and plan our first fundraiser!

She is also an actress. See if you can spot her on some popular netflix shows!

Dr. Henry Love✨

He’s been our Board President since the beginning!
Dr. Love is a Founding member of Board of Directors.
He is as Advocate for families experiencing homelessness!A Strong advocate for guaranteed income for all!
HE recently completed first MARATHON! 🏃🏽💪🏾
Oh & did we mention he’s been an Educator at Lehman college for many years! 📚
