It is with deep sadness that we wish to share the news of the passing of Mary Gallagher on 12/17/24.

She was the administrator in the Department of Pediatrics at NYP Brooklyn Methodist hospital where she worked for many years. She retired in 2022. She worked at the Brooklyn Hospital as well as Long Island College Hospital . She loved her work and was proud of her commitment to pediatrics and the residency program. She was an enthusiastic member of the APPD. She also served the Brooklyn Pediatric Society for many years.

She was a strong outgoing person who loved life and enjoyed every day of it. She enjoyed making friends wherever she went. She was well known, not just in the hospital, but in the Park Slope community. Mary was proud of her Irish roots and loved telling stories which led her listeners to tears of laughter. She had a very positive outlook on life and radiated joy. No matter the circumstances, rain or shine, good times or bad, she kept going. She was truly a force of nature , loved and admired by many. She will be missed. May she rest in peace.
