Our mission is, "to catalyze the respectful siting, design, and installation of port markers that expand public awareness of the contributions, struggles, and importance of enslaved African people to the national narrative and memory."
So, on behalf of the steering committee, I am reaching out to you to ask if you as an authorized member of an organization, or member of the NY - NJ community to sign this letter of support https://sqr.link/NY-NJ-Middle-Passage-Port-Markers-Project-Sign-On-Letter/ (We would love for you to sign this letter by 8:00AM on April 8, 2024.)
There is a link embedded with the form for you to read the support letter. Thank you for considering.
