Call for applications: International Monetary Fund Internship Program!

Are you looking for an exciting and challenging internship at a prestigious, international financial institution and are you within a year or two of completing your PhD in economics or a related field or completing a Master's degree in economics? The International Monetary Fund's (IMF) Internship Program (FIP) may be the right opportunity for you!

Successful applicants will undertake a 10-12 week paid internship between June and October 2023. The internship's precise dates will be agreed upon between the intern and IMF supervisor at the time of offer. The internship will be in-person, located at the IMF headquarters in Washington DC. Under the guidance of an experienced IMF colleague, you will conduct research and analysis on a topic determined by the Fund. Your work may culminate in a research paper and may be published internally.

To apply for the FIP, applicants must be enrolled as Master’s or PhD students, have an excellent command of English, written and oral and possess strong analytical, quantitative and computer skills. PhD students must be within one to two years of completing a PhD in macroeconomics or a related field and be below the age of 32 at the commencement of the internship. Master’s students must be completing a Master's degree in macroeconomics or a related field and be below the age of 28 at the commencement of the internship. Call for applications: GSK Scholarships for Future Health Leaders at the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine (LSHTM)!

Three scholarships are offered to support the training and development of the next generation of global health leaders and strengthen the capacity of health systems and health-related research in Africa. These highly competitive scholarships are available to applicants intending to study on a one-year, full-time, London-based MSc programme at the LSHTM.

Each scholarship will cover tuition fees and a tax-free stipend. To be eligible for these scholarships, applicants must be nationals of, and resident in, countries in sub-Saharan Africa, intend to return to sub-Saharan Africa on completion of their MSc year at LSHTM and confirm that they would not otherwise be able to pay for the proposed programme of study. The United Nations Capital Development Fund (UNCDF) makes public and private finance work for the poor in the world’s 46 least developed countries (LDCs). UNCDF offers “last mile” finance models that unlock public and private resources, especially at the domestic level, to reduce poverty and support local economic development.

UNCDF is seeking an intern to be part of the Partnerships, Policy and Communications Unit (PPC) in its Headquarters located in New York, United States. Working under the guidance and supervision of the Head of PPC and working closely with PPC staff, the intern will support the ongoing workplan and goals of the unit, including but not limited to expanding partnerships; preparing policy briefs for high level meetings; supporting the launch of major initiatives on blended finance and enterprises in Africa; and building and maintaining a base of knowledge about Member States.

The UNDP Is looking for a research intern to undertake research on disability-inclusive crisis prevention, recovery and resilience building, support communications on disability-inclusive crisis prevention, recovery and resilience building, and support the organization of UNDP internal and external webinars on disability inclusion.

The intern will be part of the UNDP Disaster Risk Reduction for Building Resilience Team based in Geneva, Switzerland. In the current context, the intern is expected to work from home, as travel may be restricted. The intern will work under the direct supervision of the Global Disaster Preparedness Lead and the overall strategic guidance of the Head of the Disaster Risk Reduction for Building Resilience Team.🇨🇭
