Dream jobs loading... ⏳ Summer is the season to Get Hired! 🙌 The King's Trust USA and partners City Year and Per Scholas have been hard at work supporting young people across the country in their pursuit of meaningful employment opportunities.

In a rapidly evolving workforce, young people often experience a power imbalance during a traditional recruitment process. But through Get Hired, candidates gain confidence and have more agency in deciding whether a job aligns with their goals and skills — rather than trying to fit themselves to a job.

Interviews are still underway, but there's already so much to celebrate about this year's Get Hired stats:

💼 More than 180 young people motivated to transform their lives
💼 60 employers committed to investing in young people, including JPMorgan Chase, Starbucks, and local community-based partners
💼 More than 100 job openings across a wide range of sectors

Wow, if there's one thing we learned from young people at yesterday's Enterprise Challenge Finals, it's this: The future is in good hands. 🙌

Five teams from across the country pitched their top-notch business concepts to our esteemed panel of judges. While the range of their ideas was vast — from accessible transportation to vermicomposting — every single concept centered on improving the lives of people in their communities. ❤️

Congratulations to the winners of the 2026 King's Trust USA Enterprise Challenge: The Worminators from Maryland! They've received $2,000 to support their business idea: transforming cafeteria scraps into high-quality organic fertilizer through vermicomposting to improve local soil health.

What we love most about the Enterprise Challenge is watching participants’ confidence and self-belief grow. None of it would be possible without the incredible mentors, educators, and staff from our delivery partners, City Year and Anne Arundel County Public Schools who help bring the program to life.

We remain incredibly grateful to The Watches of Switzerland Group, our US Enterprise Challenge National Finals Presenting Sponsor and The Trust's Lead Enterprise Challenge Funder. Thank you also to Chilton Trust for being the Supporter Sponsor of the NYC Team.

Today is the day! 🌟 Teams of young people from across the country converge in New York City for a moment months in the making: The King's Trust USA Enterprise Challenge Finals! 🏆

Our regional finalists have worked tirelessly to hone their business pitches, and now they'll share them on the big stage. If the energy and confidence in these travel photos from a couple of our teams are any indication, it's going to be a FUN day of competition.

Who will take home the crown? Meet the teams:

🌪️ ORLANDO | Ready, Set, Prep

A donation-driven initiative that provides emergency, outdoor, and family preparedness kits, Ready, Set, Prep helps communities stay safe and resilient.

💐 CHICAGO | Floral Haven

Offering gardening kits inspired by Chicago’s native plants and pollinators, Floral Haven seeks to create a meaningful gifting option that supports local ecosystems.

🛞 DETROIT | BSF Transportation

A student-focused transportation service, BSF Transportation hopes to improve attendance and strengthen community support systems by offering safe, accessible rides to and from school.

🪱 MARYLAND | The Worminators

To improve local soil health and reduce food waste, The Worminators seek to transform cafeteria scraps into high-quality organic fertilizer through vermicomposting.

🍃 NEW YORK | Air Pear

Offering an affordable, eco-friendly DIY air purifier, Air Pear wants to improve air quality in local homes, schools, and businesses.

Last week, The King’s Trust USA was delighted to bring together an inspiring group of leaders as part of the Greater Together LA program, generously supported by Aled Miles and Intellistack.

Together, we discussed how to expand opportunity for young people and ensure the next generation has the skills, confidence, and networks they need to thrive.

Topics included:

✨ Creating pathways into employment

✨ Strengthening collaboration between business and philanthropy

✨ Using technological advancements like AI as a force for inclusion

The evening was filled with thoughtful conversations and insights shared by supporters who are collectively committed to empowering young people.

"For the first time, I wasn't trying to fit myself into a job. I was starting to understand what kind of work actually suits me." ❤️💼

Last month at our Global Gala, we heard firsthand from Abysinia how our Get Hired program can impact a young person's life like her own.

The traditional recruitment process can create a power imbalance between young people and employers. Get Hired shifts this dynamic by allowing young people to practice their interview skills and have more say in which companies they interview with.

This May and June, The King's Trust USA is proud to bring Get Hired to select cities around the country. Stay tuned for highlights!

The total is in! 🎉 Our 50 for 50 challengers who ran the Los Angeles Marathon in March collectively raised more than $20K in support of The King's Trust USA programming.

While they didn't have to jump over any literal hurdles on their journey to 26.2 (thank goodness 😅), these runners' efforts will certainly help young people across the country clear their own hurdles to education, employment, and enterprise. THANK YOU!
