New York Transgender Advocacy Group NYTAG is an all trans lead group dedicated to trans and gender non-conforming communities. We fight to change policy to ensure our community gets justice.

NYTAG is a Trans-led organization that advocates for inclusive gender-based policies that benefit Transgender, Gender Non-Conforming/Non-Binary individuals through building community leaders, educating practitioners, & influencing policy makers.

We are proud to welcome Jasmine Banks as President of our Board of Directors and Tiommi Luckett as our newest Board Member, while honoring Kenyon Farrow for a decade of extraordinary leadership, service, and stewardship.

As NYTAG continues to grow, we remain grounded in community-led leadership, the vision of our founder Kiara St. James, and our commitment to advancing justice and liberation for TGNCNBI New Yorkers.

🪷 NYTAG is excited to announce and welcome Nat Moghe (They/He) as our new Director of Advocacy & Programs! ✨

At NYTAG, we are deeply committed to uplifting the voices of emerging leaders. We believe that when young people are trusted to lead, they bring bold ideas, innovative solutions, and the power of self-determination to shape the future of our movement. Investing in the next generation of leadership is not just our responsibility—it is how we build a stronger, more liberated future for all.

Nat Moghe (They/He) is a South Asian, q***r, and transmasculine advocacy and coalition-building expert with more than six years of experience advancing statewide campaigns, strengthening community-centered policy infrastructure, and leading legislative and budget advocacy efforts across New York and New Jersey.

From a young age, Nat knew that advocating for LGBTQIA+ communities was his calling. Throughout his career, he has remained steadfast in his commitment to building systems that empower marginalized communities, particularly transgender, gender nonconforming, nonbinary (TGNCNB) people and communities of color.

Nat has served as a workplace justice organizer, advocacy coordinator, and leader on numerous boards of directors, including Trans Lifeline and Family Values @ Work. Beyond his professional work, he is deeply committed to providing one-on-one support to transgender people nationwide through mutual aid, peer transition support, and community care.

Please join us in giving Nat a warm NYTAG welcome! We are excited for this next chapter and look forward to the vision, passion, and leadership he will bring as we continue advancing justice for TGNCNB communities across New York and beyond.

In just a few days, our community will gather to celebrate the extraordinary life of our beloved founder, Kiara St. James—a visionary leader whose love, courage, and relentless advocacy transformed the lives of countless transgender, gender nonconforming, nonbinary, and intersex New Yorkers.

Because of your generosity, we’ve already raised $5,000 toward Kiara’s memorial. Thank you. ❤️

At NYTAG, we believe that meaningful change begins by intentionally centering the voices of those most impacted.
