🐾 YOU ASKED — WE’RE DELIVERING! 🎉💚

After years of advocacy, community meetings, petitions, conversations, and perseverance, Southeast Queens is officially getting its FIRST dog run! 🐕🐾

This approval is a huge win for our dogs, our families, and our entire Southeast Queens community. We asked for a safe, dedicated space where our dogs can run, play and socialize — and where neighbors can come together and build community.
And now, it’s happening! 🙌🏾

You asked. We advocated. Together, we made it happen. 🐾💚

🐾 Does anyone recognize this sweet cat? 🐾

I’ve been seeing this little one in our local park since July. The cat is extremely friendly, comes right over when called, happily accepts food, and is not afraid of people—or even dogs.

I don’t know whether this is someone’s missing pet or a cat who was sadly left behind, but it’s clear that they are comfortable around people and deserve to be somewhere safe.

Does anyone recognize this cat, know who they may belong to, or have the ability to foster or adopt them? Please comment, send us a DM, or share this post so we can reach the right person. 💛🐈

Thank you to Naeisha Rose of the Queens Chronicle for highlighting the Southeast Queens Dog Run Group and our continued work to bring a dedicated dog run to our community. 👏🏽🙏🏽🐕🐩

Dog runs matter because they help create safer parks, support responsible pet ownership, increase positive community engagement, and build stronger neighborhood connections.

Southeast Queens deserves a dog run — and together, we are making it happen. 🐶🌳
