There are so many ways that we like to explore with playdough! It encourages creativity, and helps develop fine motor muscles and skills.

Using their imaginations, children can manipulate playdough into varied shapes and sizes. It is also a great opportunity for them to work collaboratively by sharing tools and supplies.

We love watching their minds at work!

Playdough is also a great activity that you can do at home with your child on a cold day like today! You can even incorporate household items into your play with it! See the photo below for an easy recipe (and one of our favorites!) to make playdough from scratch.

Looking for something to do with your child to get out of the house in the cold weather at a reasonable price point that doesn't require a significant commitment? Did you know that we offer a drop-in (space permitting) playtime for children 6-18 mos? BabyPlay is a fun, relaxed, informal opportunity for families not already enrolled in the nursery school with older children. We explore messy, complex materials such as paint, dirt, and clay (for those past the oral phase), and building materials not often found in NYC apartments. Please note that a parent or caregiver must be present.

Thursdays, 1:15-2 pm, $10 per visit
